Are you a highly motivated, organized professional with strong project leadership skills? Do you have a knack for creative problem solving and ideation, as well as a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of people in Canada? If so, you will want to join the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) as our newest Specialist, Research and Innovation.

We steward the Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control (CSCC) through driving measurable change for all people in Canada affected by cancer. Our vision is to achieve equitable access to high quality care for all Canadians.   

Specialist, Research and Innovation (Scientific and International Engagement) 

  • Reporting to the Manager, Research and Innovation, the Specialist will work closely with the Director, Research and Innovation and Program Manager, Canadian Cancer Research Alliance (CCRA)  
  • The Specialist is a key member of the Research and Innovation team; a team that promotes cancer research across Canada as well as driving the adoption of innovative approaches 
  • The team leads activities scanning international and academic best practice and supports this work through our role as the Secretariat of the CCRA 

Who You Are 

  • You are a seasoned professional with a strong passion for cancer research. You are comfortable utilizing your exceptional relationship skills to engage partners, researchers, organizations and stakeholders in cancer research and/or cancer control 
  • You have strong experience in supporting the implementation of large, multifaceted learning initiatives and meetings 
  • You have a high degree of self-motivation, adaptability, and agility, along with the ability to drive projects within an evolving context 
  • You are a leader of projects and events, and you are willing to roll-up your sleeves to help ensure that the work gets done!
