full time - temporary / contract  •  $37.00 / Hour + $2.75 / Hour Premium

One Full-Time Contract to March 31, 2025 (with the possibility of extension or becoming permanent) 

The Crisis Response Supervisor for the 9-8-8 Crisis Suicide Helpline is responsible for the clinical and operational support of the 9-8-8 crisis response staff in assessing service user needs and identifying problem-solving strategies for complex or critical service situations. Ensure that responders participate in mandatory trainings and continuing education opportunities, remain up-to-date on best practices and standards and promote high quality care for people in distress. Engage in quality assurance activities as outlined by both internal requirements and service funders.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Social Work or related discipline (i.e. Health Sciences)
  • Minimum five years related experience
  • Minimum two years supervisory experience
  • Management and leadership experience in community development and systems planning
  • Experience in providing clinical support to staff in an individual and group setting
  • Project Management/Implementation experience is an asset
  • Counselling, crisis prevention and intervention experience
  • Sound knowledge of the population and pertinent legislation
  • Francophone or second language is considered an asset
  • Registration with a relevant Ontario College an asset
  • Knowledge and significant use of Psychosocial Rehabilitation practices
  • The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
  • A valid G Drivers License, access to a reliable vehicle and business use insurance coverage, OR access to reliable transportation.

Starting Hourly Rate: $37.00 / Hour + $2.75 / Hour Premium

Office Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Office Expectations: For team coverage, meetings, and trainings when required.
