Division:  Integrated Services for Newcomers 

Department: Career & Youth Services - YEC-TFJ 

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)

 

Job Summary:

 

The Intake Worker delivers preliminary program information sessions, client eligibility checks, and screenings among program registrants. The Intake Worker supports the staff team to interview the eligible registrants and maintains the full documentation of the intake process. This position is also responsible for the administrative and accounting tasks in the office.

 

Reports To: Program Coordinator

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

• Coordinates the intake process, procedures, and timelines
• Delivers program information sessions and responds to program enquiries
• Conducts eligibility checks for program registrants
• Schedules all eligible registrants for intake interviews
• Notifies successful candidates for program enrolment and cohort schedules
• Performs administrative support functions to the staff team
• Develops and maintains the filing system of the program
• Files monthly claims to the Ministry online system
• Provides accounting support services such as training allowance and financial
supports to the clients
• Completes accounting supports for the program on items such as reimbursements
and monthly reconciliation
• Prepares and gathers client evaluation surveys and indicator reports
• Develops and maintains updated program promotional and marketing materials
• Other related duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator

 

Education, Training and Experience:


•  Diploma or Certificate in Social Science or Commerce subjects, e.g. business, accounting, marketing, or related or equivalent education
• Experience in funded employment programs is an asset
• Experience in program or office administration and accounting responsibilities
• Experience in social media for messaging and marketing

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
• Ability to work at multiple outreach locations in Greater Vancouver as required
