Position Title: Family Preservation Counsellor Temporary – Part Time
Classification: Adult, Youth, Child Counsellor
Program: Family Preservation
Location: Dawson Creek

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related human/social service field. Two (2) years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Duties: Provides support, guidance and counselling to families and children and youth deemed to be at risk by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. Addresses issues related to family/individual functioning. Provides skill building in areas of parenting skills, anger management, or self-management techniques. Provides case management services when required.

Other Job Information: Flexible schedule to accommodate clients schedule as work may not always be done within normal working hours, depending on the client’s needs, such as evenings and weekends.

Hours of Work: 17.5 hours per week.

Vehicle Use: You must have a Class 5 BC Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle. Annual vehicle inspections are required at employer’s expense.

Hourly Rate: As per Collective Agreement Grid level 14P

Closing Date: Until filled

Start Date: As soon as possible and until the return of the incumbent
