A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an individual seeking a rewarding and dynamic flexi-time role. 

 

We are looking for an experienced operations lead and events professional to join us from October 2024. 

 

The Operations and Events Lead plays an important role, organising the delivery of the members’ events programs in North America (Canada & US). This role requires great communication, multitasking, and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Account Director in Canada, and the Membership and Outreach Director in the UK, and support the Account Director in the USA. 

 

ISC Group is a Not-For-Profit business association dedicated to increasing the representation of women in senior leadership positions in the insurance industry. ISC Group is a global entity with networks in the UK (its HQ) Canada, the US, France, Switzerland, Ireland, and Bermuda. 

 

This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in Canada but may include travel within Canada. 

  • Dual reporting to Account Director, Canada & Global Membership & Outreach Director, UK 

  • Type: Full Time basis, flexible working 

  • Location: Remote in Canada, with travel required within Canada 

  • Salary starting from $50,000 - $60,000 CAD per annum. 

 

 

Purpose of Role: 

This role has been created to manage the North American membership program (US and Canada) and client management operations of corporate partners of ISC Group in Canada. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in event management and in liaising with client queries, billing and renewals as well as the areas described in the key responsibilities section below. The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player who can work effectively with all key stakeholders, offering prompt and efficient services to clients, bringing a go-get-it spirit; and be committed to supporting the best interests of the organization. 

 

Priority will be given to candidates with insurance or membership organisation experience 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Support implementation of membership changes in line with local and global requirements to ensure ISC is improving its services continuously.  

  • Support head offices activities in local markets such as implementing campaigns to corporate clients and individual membership. 

  • Manage a list of curated experts to add value to corporate clients. 

  • Manage a bank of potential speakers, coaches and mentors. 

  • Liaising with corporate accounts, including responding to queries, renewal, billing and settlements. 

  • Ensure all events and workshops are maintained at a high professional standard, gathering appropriate feedback for continuous improvement. 

  • Interaction with Canada, US & Outreach Directors, Ambassadors and Committee in Canada 

 

Experience required: 

 

  • Event planning and management 

  • Client liaison 

  • Client facing 

  • Insurance industry or membership organization knowledge would be a plus 

  • Understanding of CRMs and membership systems will be a plus

  • Strong communication and presentation skills both verbal and written 

  • Excellent organizational skills. 

  • Fast-paced and energetic 

  • Keen eye for detail

  • Flexible and accommodating. The individual must be willing to work outside of normal business hours to deliver events.
