The Role:

As the Director, Business Alignment Services at CLBC, you will be a member of the Senior Management team reporting to the VP, Information, Technology and Project Services. You will oversee strategic and operational project portfolios, business and systems analysis, decision support and business intelligence. In addition, you will oversee cross-functional initiatives, fostering collaboration, and driving effective decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing briefing notes, business cases, and delivering presentations to senior executives and stakeholders on critical operational issues, and initiatives
  • Managing CLBC's consolidated portfolio of projects and initiatives
  • Providing senior management advice on project/portfolio prioritization, business value, risk, change implications, and costs
  • Applying industry best practices to ensure effective project portfolio management to execution
  • Leading process reengineering efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance
  • Developing and executing the organization's BI strategy to align with business goals
  • Collaborating with business units to identify BI needs and translate them into actionable solutions
  • Providing direction in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance
  • Leveraging data-driven insights to inform decision-making and the development of business cases

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Computer Science or a related field
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in an equivalent position responsible for portfolio management, business and system analysis and business intelligence management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience overseeing managers is required.
  • Experience within the public sector is considered an asset.

Hybrid work Combines on-site office work with flexibility to work from home within BC after passing a 6 month probationary period.

Travel: Occasional overnight travel is required within BC. Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license and a clean Driver's Abstract is required.
