Here’s the opportunity: Bilingual Community Engagement Manager

As the Bilingual Community Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in developing and executing Futurpreneur’s community engagement strategies. Your work will foster active participation, positive interactions, and meaningful connections among our diverse community of young entrepreneurs, mentors and partners. 

Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the incumbent will be involved in launching and leading a new community platform and enhance our existing suite of activities, workshops, and networking events. Your passion for digital engagement and community development will help create an inclusive and thriving ecosystem where diverse young entrepreneurs and mentors thrive, connect and contribute to inclusive economic prosperity, one Futurpreneur, at time.

This is a permanent, full-time position that can be located in Montreal or Toronto. The incumbent will be working on our hybrid work model (minimum 2 days in the office per week).

Travel may be required on an as-needed basis to support the planning and execution of in-person events and activities.

 

What you will do:

Community Platform Management and Engagement – 50%

·        Launch and manage an active online community platform, that encourages networking, knowledge sharing, and engagement among Futurpreneur-supported entrepreneurs, among the mentor community and between Futurpreneur ecosystem (various communities)

·        Actively manage community channels, including programming and curating content tailored to specific sectors and interests, engaging daily with young entrepreneurs and mentors to maintain a positive and inclusive environment.

·        Collaborate with external partners, sponsors, and community organizations to expand engagement opportunities and create strategic alliances that enrich the platform's value.

·        Develop and administer community guidelines and policies that uphold a safe, respectful, and constructive environment for all members.

·        Facilitate mentorship connections and support programs to help entrepreneurs grow their businesses and achieve their goals.

·        Collaborate with the Entrepreneurship Programs

·        , Mentoring Experience, Regional business development teams to promote Futurpreneur’s community, attract young entrepreneurs and increase visibility.

 

In-Person and Online Engagement Strategy – 25%

·        Plan and execute a variety of in-person activities, including networking events, workshops, and social gatherings, designed to complement our online engagements and strengthen community building.

·        Create and maintain a dynamic calendar of activities that supports in-person and online engagements to foster active participation among members and maintain a lively, positive experience, ensuring the community feels safe, supported, and engaged.

·        Support the planning and execution of in-person events and activities on an as-needed basis

 

Content Development and Strategic Communication – 20%

·        Support the creation and curation of engaging bilingual resources that are culturally relevant and resonate with our diverse community of young entrepreneurs and mentors.

·        Coordinate with guest speakers and subject matter experts to provide regular webinars and interactive sessions, enriching the community's learning experience.

·        Monitor online conversations, reviews, and posts in collaboration with the Content & Communications team to proactively address concerns, highlight positive feedback, and ensure members are informed about Futurpreneur’s offerings.

Training and Continuous Improvement – 5%

·        Provide ongoing support and training to community members to maximize their engagement with and benefit from the platform.

·        Monitor community activity and health using analytics tools to ensure continual growth in platform activity, track engagement, ensure user satisfaction, guarantee knowledge sharing, identify trends, and report on the platform’s impact to stakeholders

·        Offer insights and recommend best practices for digital and in-person community management based on thorough analysis and emerging trends to continuously adapt and innovate the community experience.

 

What you bring: 

·        Relevant experience may include education with a focus in Communications, Public relations or Marketing or equivalent hands-on career experience

·        A minimum of 5 years’ experience in community management or digital engagement roles, preferably within a non-profit or entrepreneurial support environment.

·        Bilingualism in French & English (spoken & written) as you will be required to work on a daily basis with non-bilingual team members and/or clients across Canada and at Head office in Toronto

·        Excellent communications skills in both English and French

·        Strong project management, leadership, and strategic planning skills.

·        Proficiency in using community management tools and digital engagement platforms (e.g., CRM systems, social media management tools).

·        Strong knowledge of business support processes and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems, online communities' platform)

·        Demonstrated experience in launching and growing online communities and organizing community-centric events.

·        Strong understanding of content management, digital marketing strategies, and community building best practices.

·        Experience in analytics, reporting, and integrating community feedback for data-driven decision-making

·        Alignment with Futurpreneur’s values and commitment to the mission/purpose of the organization.
