BCCNM is looking to appoint up to 3 part-time Registered Midwife (RM) Contract Assessors.
BCCNM is looking for RM Contract Assessors to support its Quality Assurance Program by conducting facilitated discussions with midwives as part of the Medical Council of Canada 360 (MCC 360) pilot. MCC 360 is a multisource feedback assessment that includes receiving anonymized feedback from midwife and non-midwife colleagues and clients.
This part-time contractor role involves your participation in 4 or more facilitated feedback discussions in 2025, as well as training, orientation and debrief sessions.
The goal of BCCNM’s QA Program is that the public receive safe, competent and ethical care, and thereby maintain their trust in nursing and midwifery professionals. The QA Program does this by supporting registrants’ continuing professional development to maintain their competence and achieve high practice standards.

BCCNM is the college empowered under the Health Professions Act to regulate the practice of all licensed practical nurses, nurse practitioners, registered midwives, registered nurses, and registered psychiatric nurses in British Columbia. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
RM Contract Assessors complete professional performance assessments by reviewing the MCC 360 feedback report in a one on one conversation with the registrant, considering strengths, opportunities for practice improvement and goals for professional development based on the feedback received. Discussions will be conducted virtually using a videoconferencing platform.
RM Contract Assessors also contribute their expertise to the development and refinement of the Quality Assurance Program policy, process and tools.

COMPENSATION
Successful candidates receive a contract fee for work assigned at the discretion of BCCNM. The contract fee is paid at a rate of $660 per full day of work, prorated for partial days worked (hours of work may be billed in increments of a quarter, half or full day).
