Canadian Hearing Services has an opening for an Employment Consultant, based in London, who will be responsible for working with Deaf and hard of hearing consumers to provide a continuity of career and employment services. In this role, you will be responsible for engaging with job seekers, meeting regularly with funders, ensuring administrative requirements are completed, and for providing information to employers and related consumer groups about deafness and hearing loss (including presenting workshops and seminars focused on a variety of job search topics and access issues related to employment).

This will be a permanent, full-time position working Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of employment consulting experience including job development, job trials, and job placement. You will be someone with a sense of urgency who can handle pressure and manage a varied workload with competing priorities and deadlines. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Business or Career Counselling or equivalent, plus excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
