Are you ready to inspire change and empower job seekers? We are looking for a dynamic Facilitator to lead impactful job search initiatives across Outreach, Virtual, and WorkBC Centres. In this role, you'll create a supportive, client-centered learning environment that fosters growth and achievement. Reporting to the Program Manager, the selected candidate will organize and lead job search and career planning workshops aimed at enhancing re-employment success. This includes managing schedules, tracking attendance, and monitoring client progress. The candidate will deliver workshops across Outreach, Virtual, and WorkBC Centres, assess participants' online learning skills, and provide individualized support for self-marketing strategies such as resumes and interview preparation. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with clients to refine and strengthen their self-marketing efforts, including targeted resumes, cover letters, interview techniques, and networking strategies. Additionally, the role involves fostering community connections to support client marketing, organizing group activities for continuous engagement, collaborating with the team to achieve performance metrics, and performing other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will hold a Career Development Practitioner Certificate or equivalent experience in the employment field, with a minimum of one year of relevant work. They should have training in Job Club Leadership and Personality Dimensions, along with advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in MS Teams. Strong resume writing and editing abilities, along with experience in designing and facilitating workshops for job seekers in both classroom and virtual formats, are essential. Familiarity with Moodle, Zoom, and other virtual service technologies is a plus.
The candidate must possess excellent group and individual facilitation skills, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to navigate a performance-driven environment focused on sustainable outcomes. They should be sensitive to cultural diversity, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality. Proficiency in creating targeted resumes and a second language is an asset.
This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
