Description

As part of our energetic and talented 211 Alberta team you will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, evaluation, and delivery of a multi-phase provincial project that will increase 211 Alberta’s capacity to offer more robust services, resources, and supports for individuals experiencing or at-risk of perpetrating gender-based violence. Strengthening and expanding partnerships with anti-violence sector leaders and subject matter experts will be foundational to this project’s success.  This temporary full-time position ends by March 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension. This position reports to the Director, 211 Alberta.

About the role:

  •  Establishes and maintains collaborative partnerships with 211 Alberta partners, evaluation consultants, stakeholders, community organizations and government ministries.
  •  Administers all project management activities and components of a multi-partner provincial project, including resource management, scope management, estimation and control of scheduling, leading stakeholder communication, risk management, monitoring and planning.
  •  Designs, develops, and delivers project workplans, schedules, meetings/presentation materials and other project documents as required to fulfill project goals and objectives.
  •  Synthesizes project progress information from funder reports and meeting minutes to develop communication materials for stakeholders.  
  •  Coordinates project activities including recommendations of new or revised project goals, timelines, and schedules.
  •  Monitors and coordinates changes to the project scope, project schedule and project budget.
  •  Creates, maintains and disseminates project information and documentation etc. to project team members and stakeholders on a regular basis ensuring proper project documentation is maintained.
  •  Measures performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques.
  •  Monitors compliance with contractual agreements and grant requirements to ensure accuracy of reporting and all deadlines and deliverables are met.
  •  Schedules, organizes and facilitates meetings as appropriate​.
  •  Assesses project risks and provide recommendations/solutions, reporting to management as appropriate​.
  •  Communicates project updates, as well as status and summary reports, to the 211 Alberta Director and/or stakeholders on a regular basis.
  •  Makes recommendations on budget items.

About you:

You understand the importance of relationships and how it impacts all of our work. You are a skilled relationship builder with a track record of contributing to high performance teams to achieve success together. You have solid knowledge of project management and community needs, resources and services available with experience developing and implementing impact strategies. You enjoy problem solving and are comfortable gathering, analyzing and interpreting and utilizing all kinds of information in decision making. You are known for demonstrating accountability and striving for operational excellence.

You have a knowledge of MS Office (we use cloud-based Office 365) and databases and are comfortable in a digitally focused environment. Your background includes a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Social Sciences, Humanities or related field plus a minimum of two (2) years to three (3) years of related experience. Equivalent combinations of education and lived experience will be considered.

  • The salary range for this role is $54,640 - $61,470
