Job Summary:
Join our team to support children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorders (including Fetal Alcohol
Spectrum Disorders, Complex Developmental Behavioural Conditions, and related conditions) and their
families. You will support families in parenting and advocating for their child. As a community services
change agent, you provide education and consultation to other professionals in the community on best
practices in working with children and youth with neurodevelopmental disorders. Help us drive positive
change in our community!
Job responsibilities:
• Work with children and youth who have neurodevelopmental disorders such as FASD,
CDBC, and related conditions and their families / caregivers
• Function as a community services change agent
• Serve as an internal (to the Centre) case coordinator to clients as assigned including
performing intake functions
• Work in accordance with the policies and procedures of The Centre
Qualifications, Skills & Ability Requirements:
• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Education (Special Education) or
Nursing from a post-secondary institution of recognized standing
• Minimum 2 years' experience facilitating a process of individual planning for children and
youth aged 0 -19 years with complex developmental and/or behavioral needs (preferably
including neurodevelopmental disorders) and their families and supporting families to access
and coordinate an array of support services
• Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, or a second language an asset
• Available vehicle and a valid BC Driver's License
• Available to work some evenings and Saturdays
