Position Title: Victim Service Worker - Temporary Full Time
Classification: Victim Service Worker
Program: Community Based Victim Services
Location: Fort St. John

Qualifications: Diploma in a related human/social service field. Two (2) years recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills & Knowledge: Ability to provide emotional support, practical assistance, information and referrals to clients who have been victims of crime. Provides court support services such as explaining court processes, trial procedures. Provides accompaniment and/ or transportation to court, police, and medical appointments as needed. Maintain case notes, forms and statistical information. Ability to operate a PC and related software.

Other Job Information: This job may require flexibility to meet individual and agency demand.

Vehicle Use: You must have a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Rate of Pay: $27.54 - $31.61 as per the collective agreement

Closing Date: Open Until Filled.
Start Date: As soon as possible and until the return of the incumbent
