Position Summary

The casual Front Desk Clerk will report to the Assisted Living Manager and manage the reception area while providing a warm and friendly environment for all residents, guests, and employees. The casual Front Desk Clerk will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks while supporting the front desk. The successful candidate will be willing to cross train in the assisted living facility’s other departments, such as the Dining Room area. Each shift works hard to maintain a clean environment and to ensure the safety and positive experience of all residents, guests, and staff members.

The FDC position is compensated at $23.80 per hour and the Dining Room Server and Housekeeper are $23.34 per hour. FDC shifts are available 7 days per week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm 4:00 pm to 12:00 am 12:00 am to 8:00 am ($1.00 premium). The shifts you will be called for depend on the needs of the facility and your availability.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Courses or training in customer service, office systems, and procedures
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a high-volume office environment, preferably in a congregate/assisted living setting
  • Clear Criminal Record Check 
  • Completed OFA-L1 certificate, costs covered by M’akola 
  • Completed WHMIS certificate, costs covered by M’akola 
  • Completed Food Safe certificate, costs covered by M’akola 

Other

  • Follow M’akola Housing Society and Assisted Living policies and procedures
  • Provide a clear criminal record check
