Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Assisted Living Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for a wide range of tasks including but not limited to the cleanliness of resident suites and common areas of the Jesken Aerie Assisted Living facility in Langford, BC. The Housekeeper will embrace the vision to improve living conditions for Elders, seniors, people living with a disability and Indigenous people while encouraging and reinforcing traditional practices and cultural beliefs. 

This position is Casual, On-call position, Tuesday to Saturday – 8am to 4pm based out of Jesken Aerie, assisted living facility in Duncan. This position is compensated at $24.34 per hour.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Courses or training in customer service
  • 1-2 years of experience working in housekeeping preferably in a congregate/assisted living setting
  • Experience working in and with the Indigenous communities and Indigenous people is an asset
  • Occupational Level 1 first aid certificate
  • Food Safe level 1 certificate
  • WHMIS certificate 

Other

  • Follow M’akola Housing Society and Assisted Living policies and procedures; and
  • Provide a clear Criminal Record Check.
