About the Foundation
The Leduc Community Hospital Foundation is dedicated to elevating the health and well being of our community by supporting the Leduc Community Hospital and Community Health Centres in Beaumont, Leduc and Thorsby. We are an organization rooted in history, trust, compassion and community-centred impact, with a focus on nurturing strong relationships, generating resources and responsibly managing funds to achieve our mission. As we expand our reach, we are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead our day-to-day operations, drive strategic initiatives and deepen the community connections that enable us to raise funds to enhance healthcare services in the region. Through dedicated leadership and with a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for our donors and partners, we aim to continue funding essential projects and equipment that elevate patient care, support healthcare professionals and enhance community well-being.
About the Role
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, and as the senior operating officer of the Foundation, the Executive Director is responsible for implementing the Board’s strategic direction, supporting and guiding the Board, directing day-to-day operations, ensuring financial accountability, leading and inspiring a dedicated team, and fostering the relationships essential to the Foundation’s success. The individual who will be successful in this role is an accomplished leader with experience in non-profit management, expertise in fundraising and demonstrated operational acumen. They will be able to translate the Foundation’s strategic goals into actionable and goal-oriented plans through:
● Strategic leadership
● Board and employee relations
● Revenue generation, financial oversight and transparency
● Operations management
● Risk management and compliance
● Relationship management and community engagement
● Communications and marketing
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have:
● Post-secondary degree or diploma in nonprofit management, business administration, communications or related fields.
● Minimum three years experience in a senior management, strategic leadership role in a non-profit environment.
● Demonstrated experience with expense management, income generation and revenue diversification, financial reporting and accountability.
● Superior communication and interpersonal skills and a strong track record building and maintaining relationships with diverse stakeholders.
● Results-oriented, intentional thinker with the ability to develop and implement strategic, effective plans and initiatives.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace and working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM)/donor management platforms.
● Demonstrated success in spearheading quality improvement initiatives, supporting a strategic board and associated committees.
● A commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, including building relationships with Indigenous peoples and communities.
● Proven ability to develop, support and lead staff and volunteers.
