Post-Secondary Coordinator

Job Posting

Inner Hope Youth Ministries is a Christian non-profit rooted in our understanding that healing is experienced in relationship. We are committed to journeying alongside our community in East Vancouver nurturing hope, belonging and growth and desire to see youth, young adults and their families living healthy lives and empowered in a good way. We are dedicated to being a loving community that values integrity, reconciliation between non-Indigenous and Indigenous people and developing trusted, long-term relationship guided by our Christian faith. For this reason, it is essential that our programming team steward their relationships with a person-centred and trauma-informed approach. If you have a heart for coming alongside young adults and their families, are highly relational and thrive in a collaborative work environment we would like to meet you.

A unique feature of the Post-Secondary Program is that most of the young adults have been apart of our teen Boundless program for up to 5 years and are seeking continued support as they transition out of high-school into adulthood. The Post-secondary Coordinator is primarily responsible for facilitating each participant’s development of an Education, Employment and/or Life Skills Plan. The Medicine Wheel guides the development of goals that support a balanced way of living focused on the four aspects of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. This role oversees intake, case management, hosting skill building workshops and social gatherings, crisis support, maintaining program records and managing the budget. The Post-secondary Coordinator connects with community partners and builds networks that support our wrap around model of care. Additionally, support is given to family members and past participants as time allows. The Post-secondary Coordinator supports Inner Hope’s vision, mission and values by engaging the work of reconciliation and actively incorporating Indigenous cultural teachings into the Post-Secondary Program. This role reports to the Director of Programs and collaborates with other Program Coordinators to provide optimal care to our community.
