WORKSHOP EVENT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

o Schedule dates, locations, & speakers for continuing professional development workshops and webinars.

o Book venue, catering, & hotel accommodations if required.

o Prepare budget & all corresponding workshop administration documents (registration forms, sign-in sheets, training agreements, outlines etc.).

o Prepare & follow workshop marketing & advertising plan (social media, other professional psychological associations, website, Psymposium magazine).

o Process payments, cancellations, & issue receipts & confirmations of registration.

o Prepare all handouts for registrants (PowerPoint & additional handouts provided by speaker).

o Attend the workshop to coordinate all necessary activities (registration, setup, tear down, catering etc.) & take pictures for promotions and advertising.

o Coordinate CE credits for participants – update member profile, mail letters.

o Ensure attendee evaluation & prepare summary letter for presenter(s).

o Maintain workshop folders in the PAA shared folder.

o Research topics & speakers for future workshops.

o Process purchase requests for continuing education materials.

o Prepare & submit annual report to Canadian Psychological Association for continuing education credit sponsorship.

TEAM MEMBER

• Responsible to assist staff with collaborative projects.

• Cross-training for existing technology platforms.

• Other duties as assigned by the CEO and/or COO.

• Represent PAA in a professional, courteous manner ensuring absolute confidentiality is maintained

• Ability to work under pressure, particularly during peak periods

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-secondary degree

• Project management experience an asset

• Human relation or career development experience an asset

• Experience in related fields considered
