The Camp Monitor (CM) is responsible for supervising a dedicated group of Campers. CMs are responsible to make sure that the groups of Campers are constantly supervised during all moments of Camp. CM’s play a very important role in creating a positive and safe environment for campers throughout the camp duration. The CM will build positive relationships with the campers and coach them to make sure they follow all camp rules.

Due to the volume of applicants, only selected applicants will be contacted.

The Camp Monitor’s tasks include: 

• Welcome and greet campers and their parents/guardians daily with a smile and create for them a positive environment.  

• Monitor their assigned group of campers at all times, except when on scheduled breaks.

• Supervise campers during activities, field trips, breaks and mealtimes.  

• Work alongside Camp Leaders to make sure all campers behave appropriately during  classroom sessions.  

• Promote participation, positive behaviour, and encourage teamwork among campers. 

• Provide encouragement and support to each camper during the different activities. 

• Assist campers with belongings, lost-and-found, sunscreen/hydration, clean-up, etc. 

• Communicate to the Camp Program Coordinator or Camp Director any behavioral issues that need to be addressed with any of the campers.  

• Be aware of campers’ dietary/medical needs. 

• Complete incident reports as needed. 

• Remain flexible and willing to learn new skills.  

• Communicate effectively with camp staff.  

• Attend meetings and services as scheduled.
