The Edmonton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), a charitable, non-profit organization that provides programs and services to military families, is accepting applications for the following in-person position: Marketing & Outreach Coordinator

 

This position reports to the Communications and Outreach Team Lead for the development of marketing, communications and social media content, as well as promoting and creating awareness for all MFRC programs and services.  

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Develop engaging communications and marketing content for digital and print media, newsletters, briefings, campaigns, advertising, media releases and events
  • Create, schedule and publish content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Monitor and respond to email inquiries and online messages, comments and engagement across all platforms
  • Promote public awareness of the MFRC programs and services through outreach activities and presentations

           

Applicants should have two years related experience, post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Additional Requirements: Applicants must be able to work independently, possess strong writing and editing skills, be well-versed in multiple social media platforms, have exceptional communication and organizational skills, along with a willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends). Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, internet, web-based applications and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva. Preference will be given to those individuals who are bilingual in French and English.

 

The salary for this position is $57,678 annually based on qualifications and experience. The MFRC offers a competitive not-for-profit compensation package which includes a comprehensive benefit package, sick time, flex time and an annual vacation allotment of 15 days to start.
