POSITION OVERVIEW

The International Partnership Director ensures that EduDeo has strategic and healthy relationships and programs with its global partners that are in alignment with the mission, vision, values and strategic direction of the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS (90%)

Leadership and Strategy

  • Lead the International Partnership Team, providing direction, support, and supervision to Canadian and globally-based staff.
  • Uphold and refine EduDeo’s approach to partnership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
  • Collaborate with partners to create, implement and assess the impact of strategic multi-year plans.
  • Draft and uphold policies and practices that guide the organization’s international engagement.

Partnership Management

  • Foster healthy and productive relationships with EduDeo’s existing global partners.
  • Identify and evaluate new partnership opportunities.
  • Routinely evaluate the effectiveness of ministry programs and global partnerships, ensuring they strategically support the development of quality Christ-centred learning, leadership and organizations.
  • Walk alongside partners in identifying and achieving their strategic goals, ensuring annual plans and budgets align with both the partner’s and EduDeo’s mission.

    Program Oversight

    • Oversee all global programs – including teacher training (Walking Together), construction projects, and partner support.
    • Review and manage all international funding agreements, ensuring proper budgeting and timely and accurate reporting.
    • Stay informed about security situations in partner countries and make decisions regarding international travel restrictions.
    • Ensure readiness for staff and volunteer visits to partner countries and partner visits to Canada.
    • Keep EduDeo staff well-informed about international activities and their impact.
    • Communicate relevant EduDeo updates to partners.

          KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: ORGANIZATION (10%)

          • Provide leadership and support to members of the International Partnership Team.
          • Actively participate in team meetings.
          • Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, tools, and developments in job-related fields.
          • Assist, as requested, at significant organizational events.
          • Pursue professional development opportunities for continued growth.
          • Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

          YOU ARE THE IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

          • A strong commitment to Jesus Christ and His church.
          • A strong commitment to the vision, mission, values, and goals of EduDeo Ministries.
          • A strong understanding of international development and cross-cultural collaboration (minimum 3 years experience).
          • Strategic leadership with cross-cultural relational skills that fosters trust and collaboration with international partners.
          • Experience in cross-cultural partnership and collaboration.
          • Excellent written and communication skills.
          • Financial acumen to oversee budgets, audits, and funding processes.
          • Lived experience internationally.
          • Masters level education in International Development or related field.
          • An ability to travel internationally at least 3 weeks per year.
          • An ability to legally work in Canada.
          • A working knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an asset.
          • An understanding of Christ-centred education is an asset.
          • Crisis management experience with the ability to navigate complex security situations is an asset.
