WOMEN OF THE WORLD PROGRAM

CASUAL - 3 positions available

The Childcare Provider is responsible for providing a safe, relaxed, and stimulating environment for the children attending childcare. The Childcare Provider should represent the Health Centre values of social justice, equity, caring, inclusion, and respect.

THE COMPENSATION PACKAGE

  • Hourly rate of $20.00
  • Additional pay in lieu of benefits and vacation time
  • Optional participation Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that each parent receives an orientation of the childcare area and that necessary forms are filled out
  • Supervise the participants in the program at all times; children must never be left unattended
  • Ensure that children’s physical and emotional needs are met and that the children are participating in a caring and welcoming environment
  • Ensure the materials and room are arranged before children arrive and left clean and in good order after each gathering, and that health and safety standards are met by making sure the facilities, equipment and toys are clean and risk free
  • Keep accurate daily attendance records and report any problems or concerns to the Program Leader as they arise

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with toddlers and children International experience in childcare an asset
  • Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds with an inclusive and anti-oppressive lens
  • French and other language skills are considered an asset in supporting the communities we serve
