Evergreen Cultural Centre is seeking a passionate and results-driven part-time Development Coordinator to plan and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for our nonprofit organization. This role will focus on pursuing new sources of revenue by developing and executing annual fundraising plans, cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors, and ensuring successful fundraising campaigns and events.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement annual fundraising campaigns.
  • Identify and build relationships with potential donors, corporate and community sponsors, and foundations.
  • Research and apply for relevant grants to support the organization’s work.
  • Craft compelling fundraising letters, emails, and promotional materials.
  • Provide stakeholders with reports on the use and impact of funds.
  • Organize and coordinate fundraising events, including donor recognition activities.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to set and achieve fundraising goals.
  • Communicate effectively with donors, stakeholders, and the public to share and inspire support of the organization’s mission.
  • Monitor and analyze the success of campaigns, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Manage donor databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Stay informed about nonprofit trends, fundraising strategies, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of diverse fundraising campaigns, including individual giving, corporate and community sponsorships, and grant writing.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with donors and sponsors.
  • Knowledge of fundraising regulations and ethical standards.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with donor database management and maintaining confidential records.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability to new trends in the nonprofit sector.

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising or nonprofit development.
  • Experience with planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Proficiency in grant writing, sponsorship campaigns, and donor engagement strategies.
  • Training and experience in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong network of potential donors and sponsors is a plus.
  • Passion for the organization’s mission and the ability to inspire others to support it.
  • Possess a meaningful understanding and genuine commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Commitment to professional development through workshops, seminars, or other relevant training.
