Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Community Services is hiring a part-time Fund Development Assistant. This position will report directly to our Fund Development Manager and will provide administrative support as well as assistance in all aspects of the Agency’s fund development initiatives. The successful candidate will assist in organizing, supporting and engaging throughout the Agency’s events and initiatives, as well as events that will benefit the programs and services at Community Services.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

•         Tracks and enters donations, including Gifts-in-Kind, accurately in Donor Perfect.

•         Responsible for administrative stewardship tasks, such as thank-you notes, phone calls, and social media content.

•         Supports fundraising and donor events, as well as Third Party Fundraising initiatives.

•         Assists in creating fund development reports, including targets, financial records, and donor reports.

•         Provides support in cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors, businesses, foundations, and community groups.

•         Assists with creating promotional materials, social media posts, newsletters, presentations, and program tours.

•         Ensures confidentiality of all sensitive information related to employees, volunteers, donors, and the business of the Agency.

•         Participates in Agency committees as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

•         Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

•         Excellent time management and organizational skills.

•         Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure accuracy in communications.

•         Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and Donor Perfect database management.

•         Knowledge of social media platforms, Canva, and email marketing tools for online fundraising efforts.

•         Strong analytical skills for tracking, reporting, and addressing fundraising challenges.

•         Understanding of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and ethical practices.

•         Comfortable engaging with potential donors and building relationships within the community.

•         Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.

•         Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Education and Experience:

 

•    A diploma in an administrative program

•    3-5 years of experience in providing administrative support in a fund development, marketing or non-profit environment, or related experience.

•    Experience in fund development, event planning, and community engagement would be an asset

 

Additional Requirements:

 

•      Clear Criminal Record Check is required.

•      Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.

•      Valid and unrestricted Class 5 BC Driver’s License with access to a safe and reliable vehicle.

 

Shift/Schedule/Hours per week: 14 hours per week; temporary until December 31st, 2025

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Wage/Salary: $24.00/hour
