About Our Opportunity:
Working within the mission, vision, values, and person-centered philosophy of the Agency, the Manager is responsible for developing and managing all activities related to a portfolio of current and prospective donors including direct mail, email solicitation, third-party fundraisers, major giving, corporate giving, and foundation giving. This role will be accountable for building an active portfolio by cultivating relationships with existing individual donors, identifying new prospects, and implementing strategies to engage and secure commitments of both current and pledged gifts.

Salary: Salary: Grade MGS6 - $79,934.40 annually with step progression to $88,634.00
Location: East Vancouver with the possibility of working Hybrid (in office, with the community, and home)

What do you need to succeed?
Education, Training, Experience
- 3+ years of experience and demonstrated success developing and growing major and planned giving fundraising results in a complex not-for-profit organization
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience with online fundraising platforms (Raisers Edge NXT)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- A systems thinker with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work under shifting priorities and deadlines
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- A deep knowledge of donor relationship management
- A strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize and think through multi-faceted problems combined with the ability to deliver results
- Able to seek out opportunities and anticipate challenges, and identify strategies for successful implementation
- Actively seeks opportunities to build relationships, with a demonstrated track record of success in developing and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse group of personalities, including donors, volunteer leaders and committee/Board members
- Will be engaging, approachable, diplomatic, and collaborative and will thrive on a high level of interaction with others. Highly service-oriented and persuasive
- Superior written and verbal communication skills. Skilled presenter and public speaker. Can represent the organization in a professional, credible, and compelling manner. Active listening skills.
- Solid understanding of planned giving vehicles such as bequests, gifts of securities, donor-advised funds, endowments, life insurance, annuities, etc.
- Knowledge of CRA guidelines for charitable giving
