About the Role

As our Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and facilitating the maintenance of our bus fleet and facilities. You will work closely with volunteers, service providers, and external stakeholders to ensure our operations run smoothly and meet all compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fleet Management:
    • Coordinate bus maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure compliance with MTO regulations.
    • Maintain accurate licensing, documentation, and compliance records.
    • Support program operations by scheduling buses and responding to breakdowns or incidents.
  • Facility Management:
    • Ensure CityKidz facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained by working with service providers and contractors.
    • Oversee routine facility inspections, regulatory compliance, and maintenance planning.
    • Facilitate improvements and ensure emergency procedures are up-to-date and effective.
  • Volunteer and Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Engage and facilitate work with volunteers, landlords, and contractors to achieve operational goals.
    • Ensure maintenance schedules are prioritized to align with program needs
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Track expenditures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Prepare and submit maintenance reports, inspections, and expense reports regularly.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and hands-on problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting our mission.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma in Facilities Management, Logistics, or a Trades Certificate in Construction, or equivalent proven experience.
  • Health and Safety Certification (OHSA).
  • Working at Heights Certification.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in a faith-based environment.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance with volunteers and service providers.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Budget management and procurement experience.
  • Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle.
  • B or C class drivers license an asset.
