The Resettlement and Integration Department is committed to assisting newcomers and refugees in successfully integrating into their new communities. Our department provides a wide range of essential services:
- Orientation Services:
Delivering workshops and one-on-one appointments to help clients adapt to their new environment, navigate public services, and understand local cultural norms.
- Academic Aid Services:
Offering support in educational pursuits, including guidance on school enrollments, scholarship applications, and tutoring services.
- Employment Services:
Assisting clients with job search strategies, resume and cover letter writing, interview preparation, and understanding workplace culture and legal rights.
- Financial Services:
Providing financial literacy workshops, budgeting assistance, and one-on-one counseling to promote financial stability, along with a yearly Tax Clinic.

Position Overview
The Employability Manager will be responsible for overseeing all employment-related programs and services, ensuring they are aligned with our mission and community needs. The role involves developing and managing employment training programs, fostering partnerships with employers, securing funding, and leading a team to support job seekers in their integration into the workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee employment programs, including job placement, training workshops, and career counseling services.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry partners, and government agencies to create job opportunities for clients.
- Lead a team of employment counselors, job developers, and support staff, providing guidance and performance management.
- Secure funding through grant applications and partnerships to expand employment services.
- Monitor program effectiveness, analyze employment trends, and adapt strategies to meet evolving workforce demands.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to enhance employment service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, employment standards, and organizational policies.
- Advocate for policies that support equitable employment opportunities for refugees and newcomers.
- Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and networking events related to employment and workforce development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment services, workforce development, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of labor market trends, employment regulations, and workforce development strategies.
- Experience in partnership development, grant writing, and program funding.
- Ability to work with diverse communities, particularly refugees and newcomers.
- French and English is a must, proficiency in multiple languages is an asset.
