REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

Document No. RFP 2025 – 02

People Manager Training Program Development

RFP Issue Date: February 18, 2025

Proposal Due: March 13, 2025

The Canadian Diabetes Association is the registered owner of Diabetes Canada.

Introduction

For more than 70 years, Diabetes Canada has been leading the fight against diabetes by helping Canadians with diabetes live healthy lives while working to find a cure. Diabetes Canada (DC) funds life-changing research, leads advocacy efforts and supports health care providers and people living with diabetes with education, programs and services.

Scope of Work

DC seeks to develop and implement a new core learning program for staff. A consultant is sought to assist in meeting this goal. Training for people managers has been prioritized as the first key learning program to be developed. Training would cover approximately 45 people managers staff at the Manager, Senior Manager, Director and Executive Director levels.

As the consultant works to understand the organization’s training needs, the consultant is expected to examine potential Learning Management System solutions that might enable DC to develop and deploy content more effectively and efficiently across future Phases. The consultant should make recommendations on what platforms DC should consider.

RFP Response Requirements

Each prospective consultant is expected to submit a bid that includes:

  1. The timeline and key milestones attached to this work
  2. The fee for this service
  3. A list of three references

The consultant is expected to submit the bid using the guidance provided in the Scope of Work section. The consultant may also append to their bid an alternative approach to this work if the consultant feels that the approach outlined in the Scope of Work section can and should be different. The alternative approach, if expressed, should also include details on the timeline, key milestones and fees.
