Resettlement and Integration Department

The Resettlement and Integration Department supports newcomers and refugees in building independent lives through three key services:

  • Orientation Services: Workshops and one-on-one support to help navigate public services, cultural norms, and daily life.
  • Academic Aid Services: Assistance with school, university enrollment, scholarships.
  • Financial Services: Financial literacy workshops, budgeting support, and a yearly Tax Clinic.

We collaborate with community partners, conduct research to improve services, and advocate for newcomer needs.

Position Overview

The role involves developing and delivering programs, providing direct support to clients, and engaging with community partners across one or more service areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, assess, and refine programs to meet newcomer needs.
  • Facilitate workshops and provide one-on-one support.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations.
  • Maintain and update resources, track program outcomes, and provide reports.
  • Advocate for client needs and connect them to additional services.

Qualifications Required:

  • Degree or experience in Social Work, Education, Counseling, or related fields.
  • Experience in program coordination or client support.
  • Strong communication and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proficiency in French and English (third language preferred).

Preferred:

  • Experience working with newcomers and refugees.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office.
  • Initiative, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Driver’s license (an asset).
