Place des Arts is seeking a committed, enthusiastic and qualified Hip Hop Instructor who is passionate about dance
and teaching children and adults.
The successful candidate will teach youth and adult hip hop dance classes during our 2025/2026 season. Candidates
must be available to teach in-person classes on Tuesdays from September to June.

Place des Arts provides quality arts education in visual arts, music, dance and drama for all ages and skill levels. We
offer a friendly, non-competitive environment where students are encouraged to learn and to develop an appreciation

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of post-secondary education in dance, experience working in the dance and performing arts
industry and/or equivalent training and work experience
• Minimum of 5-years teaching experience working with various ages and abilities

• Ability to communicate and interact positively with students
• Experience choreographing pieces for dance competitions and year-end recitals
• Highly responsible and punctual
• Thoughtful, energetic and passionate about teaching
• Eager to participate in, and contribute to, our vibrant centre
REMUNERATION
Starting at $40 per hour. Instructors are contracted to a self-employment agreement. Place des Arts coordinates
studio space, scheduling, registration and program promotions.
REQUIREMENTS
The application of Place des Arts COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended however, should the policy be
re-implemented, it will be a requirement for all current and future self-employed teachers. All teachers are required to
obtain and provide a Police Information Check with a vulnerable sector check prior to commencing work.
