Position Overview

Are you passionate about helping newcomers succeed and build meaningful connections? Join us as a Mentoring Coordinator and play a pivotal role in the Employment and Community Connections Program. In this role, you’ll recruit, train, and manage volunteers who mentor clients in career development and social integration. Your work will empower newcomers to gain Canadian work experience, navigate systems, and foster a sense of belonging. If you’re committed to promoting diversity and community growth, we’d love to hear from you!

Reporting to the Program Manager, the selected candidate will design and implement mentorship activities that support career development and social integration for newcomers. This includes organizing one-on-one and group mentoring sessions, workshops, and community events, all while ensuring alignment with funder expectations. The Coordinator will also recruit, train, and manage volunteer mentors, assess client needs, and provide ongoing support throughout the mentorship process. Additionally, the role involves advocating for newcomers, building partnerships with community organizations and employers, and managing data in compliance with organizational standards. Staying informed about community resources, labor market trends, and applying inclusive service delivery principles will be key to success in this position.
