CLINICIAN

Registered Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Therapist or Counselor (28 hours/week)

 

MpowR provides supports to organizations and individuals in the Human Services sector. As a non-profit charitable organization, we pride ourselves on delivering our services with integrity and a high standard of quality. We provide third-party administrative support, accounting, IT, human resources, as well as professional development, clinical services and property maintenance to empower organizations to focus on what they do best.

 

MpowR is under contract to provide all clinical services and supports to Unlimited Potential Community Services.

Position Overview: Under the direction of the Director of Quality Improvement and Professional Services, Clinicians work both independently and as a member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-informed processes utilizing best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, coaching, mentorship and consultation. 

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong understanding of mental health disorders, trauma-informed care, and therapeutic modalities appropriate for youth;
  • The ability to work independently in a supportive role as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
  • The ability to offer professional clinical advice to staff, ensuring they have the support they need to implement best practices;
  • Must be flexible, able to work under pressure and have demonstrated ability to work efficiently with various personalities;
  • Being open to feedback and continuously improving personal practices to better support the team, while adapting to the evolving needs of both staff and youth;
  • The ability to meet deadlines and reprioritize on short notice;
  • Must be comfortable in working in a fast-paced, dynamic and continuously changing environment;
  • Excellent communication, report writing and organizational skills.

Qualifications/Experience: Registered Psychologist/Registered Clinical Social Worker/Master’s in Counselling with experience working with children, youth and adults who have experienced past trauma, including but not limited to mental illness, substance addiction, sexualized behaviours, sexual trauma and FASD.

Other Requirements: A current, clear Police Information Check (vulnerable sector included) and Child Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months), current registration with professional body, current liability insurance and professional references. The successful candidate must have the ability to travel to Edmonton, Stony Plain, Wetaskiwin, and Ponoka.

Salary & Benefits: Salary Range is $58,011.00 - $70,355.00 annually (salary commensurate with experience). 4-weeks’ vacation accrual to start with an additional week added after 2 years. We provide full-time employees with a 100% employer-paid benefits package (which includes vision, dental, prescription drug coverage, massage therapy, etc.) and a 100% employer-paid R.R.S.P. equaling 3% of gross salary. We also offer free courses and workshops in-house for all of our employees
