Options Community Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering social services across the Southern Fraser region (Surrey, Delta, White Rock and Langley) from early childhood to seniors. Our comprehensive range of programs and services relies on collaborative relationships with individuals, businesses, community groups and government bodies to create focused, effective and responsive resources for the community.

Position Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable immigrants and refugees? Join our team as a Case Manager, where you'll provide holistic, wrap-around support to individuals, families, youth, and seniors facing complex challenges in settling and integrating into Canada. In this role, you'll work one-on-one with clients to address unique barriers, advocate for their rights, and help them achieve their settlement goals, while building the skills needed for long-term success. If you're dedicated to empowering communities and fostering integration, we want to hear from you!

Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive case management services to vulnerable immigrants and refugees, conducting assessments to determine eligibility and needs, and developing personalized settlement plans. You’ll support clients through service navigation, referrals, and advocacy to help them overcome barriers and achieve independence. The role also includes building community partnerships, promoting inclusive environments, and representing the organization at community events. The Case Manager will ensure accurate data management, apply a strengths-based approach, and engage in professional development. Key responsibilities include client support, advocacy, and fostering long-term integration success.

A Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle are preferred, and a Level 1 First Aid certificate is an asset.

This role involves working with Tigrinya speaking clients, so proficiency in Tigrinya is a requirement.

The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, cultural competency, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong skills include managing complex caseloads, conducting client-centered assessments, and applying critical thinking and problem-solving. Experience with group facilitation, time management, and flexibility to work outside regular hours is also important. Multilingual abilities are an asset.

This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
