Are you passionate about helping vulnerable immigrants or refugees navigate essential services? Join our team as a Navigator Assistant! In this role, you’ll guide clients through the intake process, connect them with case management services, and ensure they stay on track with regular follow-ups. You’ll play a key role in assisting a multidisciplinary team, providing critical information, and offering ongoing support to help clients succeed. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing client referrals, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring clients access the services they need. This includes managing appointments, coordinating with service providers, and providing administrative support to the Program Manager and Case Managers. The role also involves facilitating group orientation workshops, maintaining accurate client records, and ensuring data privacy. The Navigator Assistant will foster community partnerships, engage in outreach activities, and apply Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA+) principles to promote inclusive service delivery and assist clients in navigating settlement and integration resources.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or Degree in Social Services or related fields, with at least three years of experience working with newcomers or vulnerable populations. They should demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and initiative, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Key competencies include resource development, problem-solving, time management, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The candidate must also be culturally sensitive, able to work under pressure, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
