Are you passionate about writing for a purpose? Do you have a talent for crafting compelling grant proposals that secure funding for meaningful initiatives? We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Grant Writer to join our team on a contract basis.
As a remote Freelance Grant Writer, you will research, develop, and write grant proposals for government agencies, corporations, and private foundations to support our client’s fundraising efforts. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with a strong background in grant writing, fundraising, and non-profit work.
Research and identify grant opportunities that align with client needs
Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and letters of intent
Manage grant application deadlines and submission requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather necessary information for proposals
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial and organizational information with discretion
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals
Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities and tailor applications accordingly
2–3 years of direct grant writing experience, preferably for non-profit organizations
Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance efficiency in writing and research
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Training or education in fundraising best practices is preferred
Pay: $25 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
Hours: Remote work. Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week
