Position Summary:
The Bilingual Donor Relations & Annual Giving Coordinator will deliver outstanding donor service, ensuring that every donor’s experience with Hospice Care Ottawa is both meaningful and memorable. This role involves cultivating strong relationships with monthly donors, mid-level donors, and members, fostering ongoing engagement, motivation, and loyalty. The Coordinator will collaborate with the team to create personalized stewardship opportunities that express deep gratitude and recognition, ensuring Hospice Care Ottawa remains a top priority for their philanthropic giving.  
Key Responsibilities:
The Bilingual Donor Relations & Annual Giving Coordinator will assume responsibility for donation and event revenue, including but not limited to:
  • Execute the existing Annual Giving fundraising campaign, ensuring alignment with fund development strategies. 
  • Work with the Manager and Director of Development & Communications to create and administer the annual and mid-level giving plan, ensuring it integrates with all other fundraising initiatives. 
  • Contribute to fund development strategy and annual fundraising goals. 
  • Coordinate the direct mail program and work with the copywriter, designer, and direct mail vendor. 
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator, Fund Development & Communications on the integration of electronic giving appeals for the annual campaign. 
  • Administer the mid-level giving program including special appeals and personalized outreach. 
  • Coordinate all of the monthly giving program, - welcoming new donors, payment tracking upgrade strategies, recognition, and retention.  
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator, Fund Development & Communications to develop necessary communications for all giving programs (annual, mid-level, monthly, and planned). 
  • Track stewardship activity in donor database (Keela), ensuring timely and accurate donor recognition and stewardship. 
  • Contribute to moves management strategy by advising the development team of donors who progress beyond mid-level giving. 
  • Build and nurture meaningful relationships with donors, sponsors, service clubs and religious groups and community stakeholders. 
  • Track and record donor interactions, listen for wealth indicators, and help to identify major gift and planned giving prospects.
  • Provide support to donation processing colleague, and assist with donation entry and phone calls as needed during peak donation times. 
  • Other duties as required.
