The Francis Winspear Centre for Music is seeking a dynamic individual as an Orchestral Librarian Assistant. This is a 10-week role from June 20-August 29, 2025 working 35 hours/week and the Assistant will support the library operations.

Since 1997, the Winspear Centre has been a cornerstone of Edmonton’s Arts District, welcoming 250,000 visitors annually for musical performances, rehearsals, literary events, meetings, receptions, graduations, and educational programs. This position is pending due to approval of government funding. The position requires candidates to meet the following criteria:
Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Alberta and Canada
What you will do:
Catalog Orchestral, Jazz and Chamber repertoire
Scan music for the 2025/2026 ESO season
Help with ESO summer concerts as needed
Part preparation including bowing, errata, and page turn fixes
Support the Orchestral Librarian with other support as needed
Qualifications:
Student in or graduate of a College, University or Institute music or library studies program
Experience working or volunteering in a performance library
Able to lift 50 pounds
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working with many details, be organized and able to prioritize work
Positive attitude
Able to work evening and weekends when required
