Position Summary

The LMS administrator will oversee the administration and optimization of the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure seamless training delivery for internal teams, external clients, and partners. This role will coordinate all aspects of the training cycle, from course setup and scheduling to reporting and user support. Collaborating closely with trainers, subject matter experts, and the broader Implementation team, the LMS administrator will enhance user experience, ensure system functionality, and support the continuous improvement of SCS’s training offerings.

Responsibilities:

 

LMS administration

  • Manage the LMS, ensuring smooth functionality for internal and external users.

  • Conduct all LMS administration tasks for all learning/course activities including user management, course creation, enrollment management, and reporting

  • Ensure the e-commerce function is operational, and coordinate with finance and administrative teams to ensure accurate tracking of e-commerce transactions, invoices, and reporting

  • Support compliance with privacy, accessibility, and data security requirements related to the LMS and learner data.

  • Generate and analyze reports on LMS usage, enrollment trends, and learner performance, based on client needs

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to course engagement, completion rates, and learner satisfaction.

  • Develop and maintain internal documentation on LMS set-up, functionality and processes

  • Monitor and evaluate LMS workflows to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency and user experience

User Support and Client/customer service

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for LMS-related inquiries from clients, partners, and internal teams.

  • Monitor and respond to customer support requests, ensuring a high level of service

  • Develop training materials and guides to assist users in navigating the LMS effectively.

  • Assist trainers and subject matter experts with uploading and managing course content.

Training coordination

  • Lead scheduling, logistics, and coordination for live and virtual training workshops.

  • Support trainers with session planning, technical setup, and post-training evaluations.

  • Track training participation, user engagement, and course completion rates.

  • Collaborate with Manager, Learning and Development, and other Implementation team leads to  to align training offerings with client needs and organizational priorities

Learning Development

  • Supports the development of learning content and training workshops, with direction from the Learning Strategy & Design Lead or Manager, such as  minor content updates, developing interactive e-learning content and multimedia elements, uploading modules

  • Supports accessibility and usability testing of online learning products as needed

  • Support the development and execution of a learning strategy evaluation plan and data collection

Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • LMS Expertise: Proven experience managing an externally/customer-facing LMS (i.e., Absorb LMS or similar), including course setup, user administration, and troubleshooting.

  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in learning technologies, e-learning content management, and reporting tools.

  • Learning development: experience working collaboratively with content developers and training leads in a supportive, cross-functional environment

    • Nice to have: Experience developing e-learning course and use of eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline and Rise)

  • Problem solving: aptitude for identifying and analyzing complex technical issues related to the LMS and proposing appropriate solutions; ability to take initiative in solving system-level issues and improving back-end operations to support high-quality training delivery.

  • Project Coordination: Skill in planning, organizing, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines

  • Collaboration & Communication: Experience in effectively coordinating and collaborating in a fully remote working environment with internal teams, trainers, and external partners to deliver high-quality training experiences.

  • Customer Service Orientation: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to support a diverse range of learners and stakeholders.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Experience analyzing learning data, tracking KPIs, and using insights to inform training improvements.

  • Adaptability & Continuous Learning: Ability to adapt to changing requirements, evolving user needs; willingness to stay current with emerging LMS trends, learning methodologies, and best practices.

Working Conditions  

  • Work remotely from anywhere in Canada with the ability to support the core business hours, our team maximizes technology to work collaboratively with others.

  • The salary offered will be proportional with experience, ranging from $58,000 to $78,000/year for the successful candidate.
