To be eligible for this position the applicant must:
• be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
• be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
• have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Skills and Qualifications
• Professional, polite, and willing to be accommodating to the needs of the Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High personal motivation and self-management, with high attention to detail and work accuracy.
• An ability to work independently, with little supervision, while being a part of a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative team environment.
• Troubleshoot and track progress of multiple projects, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong Microsoft Office computer skills (specifically Outlook and Word).
• Post-secondary education in an administration program is an asset.
• Prior administrative (e.g., reception, scheduling, minutes, records information management) and member-driven association experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of community and seniors housing sectors is an asset.
Responsibilities
• Maintain polite and professional communication through all communication channels.
• Provide comprehensive support to the Association, including managing the master calendar, and scheduling internal/external meetings.
• Prepare board/committee meeting materials and agendas; and take, prepare, and distribute meeting notes/minutes.
• Filtering and disbursing external Association communications.
• Handling general office tasks, such as data entry, proofreading, and formatting documents.
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail; both hard copy and electronically.
• Anticipating the needs of others to ensure a supportive and positive experience.
• Supporting team to achieve the Association’s strategic priorities.
• Periodically answer the main phone line, screen, direct phone calls, take and forward messages and follow up on voicemail messages.
• Occasionally greet visitors at the front desk by welcoming and directing appropriately.
• Assist in ensuring the reception area is well kept and presentable.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties/projects, as required, by the team.
Conditions of Employment:
Employment start date is May 26, 2025.
Full-time (35 hrs/week), until late August. Temporary contract.
Work will be in-person, at the ASCHA office.
