We are a local grass roots organization working in Cooksville Mississauga (www.heartcomonos.ca) We are looking for 2 vibrant outgoing students between the ages of 18 and 30, who are Canadian Citizens. This position is NOT a 9-5, Monday to Friday job. If you are interested in working with people and passionate about helping the community thrive, with shifts in the morning, afternoon, evening or weekend, this position is for you. You must enjoy working in a diverse community and actively participate in events and projects throughout the summer months.
Ongoing Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Attend weekly meetings
• Follow guidance and instruction of organization staff and event leadership
• Participate in planning, implementation and evaluation of community events
• Transport event equipment, materials and supplies from storage to event site and return to storage after event
• Arrive at assigned events promptly
• Assist with event set up
• Engage with event participants during events with conversation and surveys
• Assist staff with cleanup after event
• Submit a summary report of each event
• Log 30 hours of work/week
• Participate at event evaluation sessions
• Other tasks as required
