Office Manager - Full Time Permanent Position
Qualifications:
Grade 12 and post-secondary courses at a minimum of two (2) years in areas such as bookkeeping, payroll, office procedures, business administration, and or public administration.
Duties:
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to organize work and carry out the duties of the position with independence. Ability to deal effectively with others. Interest and capability to learn payroll, ComVida, importing payroll into Sage, accounts receivable data input, and health and safety information for the organization’s functioning. Ability to learn and implement accreditation duties (feedback forms/calls/texts/surveys). Monitors staff check in and out to maintain staff locations for work safety. Answer’s cell phone and in-person inquiries and replies to general information requests accurately and timely. Ability to greet clients/visitors/tenants/employees to the organization in a professional and friendly manner. Ability to assist clients with appointments. Responsible for organizing appointments for the organization’s building maintenance. Organizes personnel files and creates hiring packages. Assists with fundraising activities. Assists with online training systems (enter in new staff, monitor who is completing required annual training). Familiar with Adobe, Excel, and Outlook. Sorts and distributes incoming mail and processes outgoing mail. Ability to organize and implement yearly training drills (bomb threat, fire, power outage, evacuation alert).
Job information:
Operate a PC, applications, and software programs. Ability to be organized and detail oriented. Must be a good communicator and have the ability to interact effectively with all employees and the public. Ability to carry 20lbs to the second floor (paper packs for copier). Ability to monitor the 3 levels of the building (basement, main floor, second floor with stairwell access) for building condition, staff safety, attending meetings, check in with staff, assist with janitorial duties as needed for tenant offices and building common areas, and for assisting building contractors to areas they will work on for repairs to CB Building. Must pass a criminal record review. Have a valid BC Driver’s License, no restrictions and clean driving abstract. Ability to assist with other job-related duties as asked.
Hours of Work: 30 Hours per week
Hourly Rate: $26.14-31.77
