About the Role

Are you passionate about uncovering insights through data and driving meaningful impact? As our Evaluation and Impact Measurement Manager you’ll help shape the way we understand, measure, and communicate our success. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the development of evaluation frameworks that capture the outcomes of our programs, guide teams in building effective data collection systems, and deliver high-quality analysis that informs strategy and amplifies our story. You'll collaborate across departments to ensure we’re capturing the right data, interpreting it with precision, and using it to continuously improve our work. With a focus on both quantitative and qualitative methods, ethical data practices, and innovative technologies, this role is ideal for a critical thinker with a sharp analytical mind and a drive to make a difference.  

What You Will Be Doing

  • Work with the Director of Projects and Evaluation to design, develop, operationalize and maintain the evaluation and impact measurement frameworks for Food Banks Canada
  • Evaluate the progress and efficacy of projects and programs. Identify relevant indicators and develop data collection processes, tools and systems to collect both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Develop and maintain systems and methods for effective and secure data storage and analysis. Ensure compliance with ethical standards and data protection regulations in all evaluation activities
  • Conduct analyses of data using rigorous and up-to-date data analysis techniques to ensure accuracy of data
  • Assist teams across Food Banks Canada in setting up data collection tools and processes to extract valuable impact data from their projects and programs
  • Synthesize and interpret data to produce high-quality reports and deliver findings to stakeholders across the organization, tailoring reports to individual audiences
  • Conduct presentations and training on evaluation and impact measurements to internal and external staff, building their knowledge and skills in this area

What You Will Need

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Health, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in monitoring, evaluation, and data analysis or equivalent relevant experience
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and methodologies, and understanding of relevant processes and best practices
  • Technical skills including data analysis in quantitative and qualitative software
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and succinctly
  • Collaborative team player, with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Credentialed Evaluator Designation would be an asset
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, Monday-Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work
  • This position is remote and may be based anywhere in Canada
  • Occasional travel within Canada may be required
