About The Role

Are you a data-driven thinker with a passion for digital innovation and a love for uncovering meaningful insights? As the Analyst, Digital Insights with Tourism Richmond reporting to the Manager, Digital Insights, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of Richmond's tourism industry through analytics, research, and forward-thinking strategy. This is a high-impact role where you’ll harness tools like Google Analytics, Google Ads, Power BI, and SQL to uncover trends, optimize campaigns, and inform executive decisions. You'll collaborate with internal teams and occasionally external partners to maintain robust databases, analyze market trends, and support CRM and email strategies. This role is perfect for a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives on turning complex data into clear insights and innovative solutions.

This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position that requires in-office work at least three times per week. The salary range is $50,000-$55,000 as well as a robust RRSP program and a comprehensive benefits package.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Analyze performance across digital channels (Google Ads, Meta, MailChimp) and translate data into actionable insights and dashboards.
  • Assist with data collection and analysis for advanced reports and executive dashboards.
  • Maintain and update data sources and internal databases.
  • Monitor economic, industry and business, consumer, competitors, and market trends and developments to inform destination management, development and promotion, and strategic planning.
  • Support Tourism Richmond's CRM and email strategy, including recommending best practices for database management and assisting with email campaign management.

What You Will Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Marketing, Computer Science, or equivalent training/experience.
  • 2+ years of marketing data analysis experience in a B2C and/or B2B environment is considered an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Google Looker Studio is preferred.
  • Comfort working with SQL, PowerBI, and managing structured data from multiple sources.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to put together reports and present insights and findings.
