Position Overview:
The Counselling Centre of East Algoma (CCEA) is seeking a self-motivated, experienced fulltime Clinician to join our team. You will provide a compassionate and trusting therapeutic relationship to individuals who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, addictions, difficult life stressors, and transitions, by supporting their mental health and well being.

Requirements:
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills,
• Excellent skills in mental health assessment and teaching, addictions, case management, advocacy, decision making and effective crisis intervention, and to develop and deliver treatment plans using a variety of evidence based therapeutic modalities,
• Ability to advocate for clients in a number of settings, and work collaboratively with other agencies and/or services,
• Well developed counselling skills in individual, family, and group modalities,
• You will monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plans,
• Strong skills in public speaking, public education, and networking,
• Ability to set priorities, organize and coordinate activities,
• You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational days and training sessions,
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting with a commitment to clients and the community,
• Strong computer knowledge to manage web-based software integrations, and MSOffice 365,
• Work collaboratively with Executive Director, management, and staff when required to complete other duties as requested.
Job Status:
Job Type: 1-Full-time permanent.
Salary: $46,806 - $65,601.76 annually, as determined by a combination of education and experience, in accordance with the collective agreement.

Schedule: 7-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate to Elliot Lake required.
A hybrid work model is in effect. As such, this position can involve working from home or office as required. Telephone, online virtual or in person office appointments are available to clients.
