Work From Home - New Brunswick - other areas

full time - temporary / contract  •  $50,000 - $60,000

Position Overview
Together Project, an initiative on MakeWay Charitable Society’s shared platform, connects refugee newcomers and volunteers to build stronger, more integrated communities. Our Welcome Group Program matches groups of volunteers with newly arrived refugees for three to six months of social and integration support. Volunteers can help newcomers practice English, navigate services like healthcare, find a job, access education, or simply build their social networks. The ultimate goal is the empowerment of newcomers to make progress towards their individual goals, and to provide a platform for the community to engage in that process. Together Project launched the Welcome Group Program in Toronto in 2017 and is now expanding the program to Moncton, Vancouver, and Winnipeg.

Together Project is seeking a motivated individual, who is passionate about building welcoming communities, to help us launch the Welcome Group Program in Moncton as our New Brunswick Programs Lead. The New Brunswick Programs Lead will deliver the Welcome Group Program in Moncton, with potential for growth to nearby communities over time. The Programs Lead will coordinate community outreach in order to recruit and onboard new volunteers, lead them through vetting and training, and guide them as they support local refugee newcomer households. At the same time, they will introduce the program to refugee newcomers, interview them to learn of their unique needs, and match them with the most appropriate volunteers. They will also serve as Together Project’s main point of contact with our local lead agency partner and coordinate with other local partners in the sector.

As our New Brunswick Programs Lead, you will be helping us continue building an incredible network of dedicated and passionate volunteers, connecting them with people who might never otherwise meet, in an opportunity to make a real change in the lives of newcomers to Canada. You will be working in a small but Canada-wide team with a lot of opportunity to grow, be challenged, and have impact.

Contract Duration: 16 June 2025 - 15 June 2026, renewable
