About the Opportunity:

Are you a strategic finance leader who sees the story behind the numbers? CLBC is seeking a Director, External Financial Insight and Compliance to lead our audit and analytics functions. In this role, you will oversee two management-level staff and guide cross-organizational financial oversight that informs decision-making across the province. You'll support regional teams and executive leadership by transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. This work enhances service delivery, informs funding negotiations, and strengthens governance. With a customer-service mindset, you will empower teams to use data to make thoughtful, strategic decisions. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who values collaboration, continuous improvement, and advancing equity in public service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Financial Audit & Compliance and Financial Analytics teams, aligning their work with CLBC's strategic goals.
• Oversee the province-wide service provider audit program and ensure consistent, effective contract and financial oversight.
• Support regional leaders and negotiations with financial insight, service data, and contract analysis.
• Develop dashboards and insights on trends such as provider turnover, funding, and pay.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to the Finance & Audit Committee and senior leadership.
• Use tools like Power BI, SQL, or Tableau to translate complex data into stories that drive change.
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and service excellence across the team and organization.

What you will bring:

• A CPA designation and 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in audit, compliance, or financial analytics, including 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge across audit, internal controls, risk, and analytics in the public or broader social services sector.
• Experience using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python to deliver insights and performance monitoring.
• A proven track record of leading teams, mentoring managers, and building cross-functional partnerships.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to make data meaningful and actionable for a range of audiences.
