Position Overview 

Join our team as a Coordinator, Finance and play a key role in supporting impactful provincial and federal programs! In this exciting position, you’ll help keep our financial systems running smoothly by reviewing project reports, assisting with contracts, and ensuring accurate financial transactions. You’ll also work closely with our finance, programs, and communications teams – entering and managing data, supporting applicants throughout the project lifecycle, and contributing to reporting and strategy efforts. To be successful in this role, you will have a knack for organization, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for financial administration.

This is a full-time, 37.5 hrs per week, 12-month term position, with a possibility for extension. The role is hybrid working out of IAF’s Victoria office 3 days per week. The salary range is $60,000-$64,000.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Liaise with IAF’s finance group to ensure the flow of information is maintained as it relates to IAF’s programs
  • Review and verify project financial reporting documentation for eligibility, verifying source documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance
  • Support the finance team as required with entering project data, running/creating program reports, and processing financial transactions
  • Assist the finance team with quarterly and annual program reporting and reconciliations
  • Support applicants throughout the project lifecycle, from the development of applications to contracting and project reporting
  • Support the communications team as required with entering data and running reporting

What You Will Bring

  • Diploma in bookkeeping, finance, or related field and a minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting department, including an understanding and exposure to administration, financial and business practices, and internal controls – equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Ability to navigate the Microsoft Office Suite desktop applications; intermediate knowledge of Excel 
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and accounting systems (Sage Intacct preferred)
  • Working knowledge of a Project Management System or other grant management systems (FLUXX preferred)
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively work with and support a dynamic and diverse group of professionals and maintain strong relationships
