SACL is seeking Community Support Workers who want to make a difference!

 

Duties include:

  • Providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and assisting in their developmental growth and success.
  • Assisting with personal care, including personal hygiene and self-care.
  • Developing and participating in community activities and opportunities to enhance inclusion and acceptance in areas of recreation, leisure activities and employment.
  • Ensuring a safe environment for everyone.

 

The successful candidate must be able to obtain the following requirements prior to employment:

  • BC Criminal Record Check (CRC)
  • First Aid/C.P. R
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Driver's Abstract
  • Use of a personal vehicle with $3,000,000 liability and business insurance
  • Doctor's certificate of ability to perform all necessary physical duties.
  • Negative T.B. declaration or test results

 

Position is 30 Hours per week, Monday - Friday, flexibility based on program needs, shifts may vary based on operational requirements 

 

Permanent positions of 20 hours or more qualify for health benefits after 3 months.  

 

This position is open to all applicants "except where bona fide occupational requirements prevent it" (article 24.2) and the position requires union membership.
