Do you believe in the power of the arts to connect, inspire, and transform lives?
Are you a detail-oriented and organized arts administrator who thrives in a collaborative environment? Do you have a passion for visual and performing arts, and want to make a meaningful impact in your community? If so, we invite you to join our creative and dedicated team at PoMoArts as our Visual & Performing Arts Manager.
About PoMoArts
The Port Moody Arts Centre Society is a not-for-profit community arts organization located in the City of the Arts. We create inclusive and meaningful art experiences through education, exhibitions, and outreach. Run primarily by artists and supported by a vibrant network of volunteers, donors, and community partners, we offer a wide range of visual, performing, ceramic, and media arts programming for people of all ages and skill levels.
Our core values are connection, integrity, inclusivity, and growth mindset. If you share our passion for the arts and believe in its ability to shape lives, you’ll feel right at home here.
The Role: Visual & Performing Arts Manager
As the Visual & Performing Arts Manager, you’ll lead the planning, coordination, and evaluation of a wide array of visual and performing arts programs. You’ll supervise a diverse group of talented instructors and work closely with the Ceramics Manager and other team members to deliver high-quality, mission-driven arts education and experiences both in our centre and through community partnerships.
This is a role for a builder—someone who enjoys creating systems, supporting artists, and contributing positively to a collaborative team.
A Day in the Life
You might start your day finalizing a schedule for children’s art camps, collaborate with a local theatre group to develop a new community class, check in with music instructors, and finish with budget planning or preparing content for an upcoming program launch. It’s a role that blends vision, detail, and people-focused leadership.
