We are looking for one remarkable Community Education Coordinator who is a team player, shows initiative, is friendly, fun, highly organized, creative, likes to get things done and knows when to relax. The Community Education Coordinator is responsible for the delivery and development of research-based educational programs that are delivered to strategic audiences with a focus on primary prevention of sexual violence. To that end, the Community Education Coordinator works with the Executive Director to increase broad community engagement in prevention work. This is a full-time position (36.25 hours per week). Responsibilities include:
• Develop and update presentation materials on a variety of mandate related topics. Many of these are based on Alberta Learning curriculum and grade level, develop and provide materials and presentations to schools on issues including primary prevention of sexual violence, healthy relationships, positive coping skills, and accessing community resources.
• Deliver sexual assault education and outreach services in-person or digitally within southeastern Alberta.
• Facilitate psycho-education groups for those who are affected by sexual violence as well as to increase social emotional skills, as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Minimum education of a degree in a human services discipline with two years related work experience. Registration with a regulating body is an asset. Combination of education and experience maybe considered.
• Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Suite and social media platforms.
• Ability to design social media content using Canva.
• Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the provision of gender-based violence services, mentorship, community development, social media, and public speaking are assets.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Talented in prioritizing and managing multiple work tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Proficient in databases and computers.
• Class 5 license with reliable vehicle.
